After a long career with large companies around the world Richard turned Harry Ramsden's from a single Fish and Chip shop in Yorkshire into a highly successful international brand. After years of working with big budgets he had no money left for marketing at Harry Ramsden's and fell into a way of thinking which he labelled 'Marketing Judo'.
Based on the principles of Judo where skill matters more than size, they show how you can use the weight of your opponent to your advantage and by moving quickly you can take them by surprise and unbalance them! Richard demonstrates how it's always possible to grow your business whatever the size of your budget.
