Parker LiautaudYouthful Exuberance. Dedication. Determination |
Parker Liautaud is a 16-year-old polar adventurer. In April 2011, Parker skied to the North Pole in four days - finishing the trip a week ahead of schedule. In April 2010, Parker had skied over a frozen ocean bigger than Australia, hauling everything he needed to survive behind him in a sled, in temperatures as low as -60°C. However, his dream of becoming the youngest person to ski to the North Pole was scuppered when adverse weather conditions forced him to abort the challenge when he was just 24km (15 miles) from the pole.
Parker has spoken to audiences ranging from 20 people to over 1300 people; at events ranging from classroom discussions all the way up to internationally televised conferences, alongside the likes of Kofi Annan and Sir Bob Geldof. He has given talks to all demographics, ranging from schoolchildren of all ages to top-level executives in some of the world's largest companies such as Waitrose, Toyota, and Olympus. Parker’s lectures explore making life and death decisions under pressure and working towards your goals against all the odds.
